Imagine me being strong and not letting people break me down.
You won’t get that joy this time around. I admit it was hard to see
You being in love with someone like me. But finally I can . . .

The words of this song are universal in that we've all experienced being rejected, ostracized or marginalized because of under-developed areas of self-worth.

For many years I believed one's self-worth was contingent upon another's validation of their performance. World-renowned American poet, writer, and activist Nikki Giovanni once said:  "Deal with yourself as an individual worthy of respect, and make everyone else deal with you the same way."

In other words, the way we treat ourselves (emotionally, socially, financially, and spiritually) is a direct reflection of how others will treat us.  Today, "Imagine Me" no longer in the place where they left you because that season's timing is up!

Now ruminate on that for a minute . . . . .
